(SABB) receive the " Mowaamah "certificate in recognition for providing a supportive environment for persons with disabilities

The Ministry of Labor and Social Development granted the Saudi British Bank (SABB) the Silver category of “Mowaamah” Certification in recognition of the bank’s efforts in implementing standards and best practices towards providing a supportive environment for people with disabilities. SABB is the first bank to obtain the Silver certificate in the financial sector in the Kingdom.


"Mowaamah" Program aims to motivate organizations to develop a work environment to support the employment of persons with disabilities. The program includes several criteria in which an entity is assessed to identify aspects that need to be developed in the work environment, namely (Knowledge, commitment, employment, Information and Communication Technology, facilities, connections, products, services and human resources management).


Faisal Jadu, SABB Chief Human Resources Officer went on to state: “We are proud to win this certificate under the national initiative led by the Ministry of Labor and Social Development in its quest to enable the integration of persons with disabilities into the labor market and achieve one of the goals of the National Transformation Program 2020 which stems from the Kingdom’s 2030 vision.”

Also building a work environment in SABB that is suitable for employees with disabilities and to address all obstacles they may face in the workplace, including behavioral and physical barriers, as well as those related to architectural facilities, communications.


Mr. Jadu confirmed that SABB has many contributions in this regard, including a range of programs and initiatives aimed at integrating persons with disabilities into the labor market, at the forefront of which is the SABB Program for the Employment of Persons with Disabilities and the contribution to the Business Disability Network (Qaderoon).
