Stay Alert – Essential Tips to Protect Yourself from Cyber Fraud
As part of our commitment to keeping you safe from cyber fraud, we’re sharing essential tips to help you recognize, detect, and avoid fraud attempts.
- Never share your bank card password or PIN with anyone. This information is for your use only.
- Be aware of your surroundings when using an ATM to prevent others from viewing your PIN.
- Be wary of phone call scams - fraudsters may pretend to be from the bank, government body, or trusted authority and pressure you into sharing personal information. If you receive a suspicious call requesting your One-Time Password (OTP) or financial details, end the call immediately.
- Your OTP is for you only. Bank staff will ever ask for it. If someone does, it’s a scam.
- Before entering personal or financial information online, make sure the website is from a legitimate and trusted provider.
- Be aware of fake offers, giveaways, or promotions on social media and check its legitimacy by calling or visiting the Office.
- The bank staff will never ask you to update your personal information through phone calls, SMS, or links sent via email.
